One week down...

Its been a week now since Riley came home! She has been doing great at home.
We learned very fast that Riley is afraid of the dark. The first night she would not sleep at all until we turned on a light across the room. We tried a night light first but that was not enough. Since we have left the light on she sleeps really well. Most nights she sleeps a good five hours before she wakes up to eat.
She still doesn't cry really. The last few days she has been testing it out more but she still doesn't let more than one or two out. So in the middle of the night she wakes us up by babbling more and more until we get up. Which that can also be tricky seeing as she babbles in her sleep as well as when she is awake. But thats okay she is lots of fun.
Milo, our little pup, loves Riley. He will run down stairs and walk really slow up to Riley and give her kisses on her hand or head until we have to tell him to stop. Whenever she makes noises he is the first one up to make sure she is okay. The first night she was home I don't think he slept at all. Every time we were up, he was up.
Its been great having her home but we do miss seeing our friends at the NICU. Riley fell in love with all of her primary nurses, but especially had a soft spot for her primary Jerold. She had four primary nurses; Liz, Jerold, Kasey and Camille. We hope to keep in touch with all of them since they have become like a part of our family. I know that Riley misses her cuddle time she had with them seeing as she loves to be held, and they saw to it that she was held and read to as much as possible. We have many stories of especially Jerold coming and taking her for walks around the Nicu and just coming in for cuddle time. I have some sweet pictures of them that I will post as soon as I figure that out. But I just want to say thank you to all of them for all that they did for us!
Riley is getting weighed tomorrow so were excited to find out how big she has gotten. As of Friday she was still 5lbs. 11 ounces. She has been eating really well though. Every time she eats she eats about 2 - 3 ounces which is great for her.

It has been really fun to have Riley home. We like having our family all at home, but we would make the trip again if we had to.
